Sunday Cottages

24th June
Our second visit to Sunday Cottage and it was just as lovely as we remembered it. Great location & so peaceful. Didn’t move much throughout the week, plenty of lovely long walks especially over to Rock. Steins Bistro good, but Rojanos also good, for casual & lively in the evenings. Overall the week has been relaxing – home fatter happier & more relaxed – will be back next year!!

Back again for 2 weeks. Our 9th time at Sunday Cottage, never thought we’d spend so many holidays at the same place, but when you find the perfect place why change it? Living on a main road as we do, the cottage is a complete contrast, and we completely wind down. It’s very comfortable, and so close to the harbour & shops, and the off-road parking is invaluable. Weather’s been quite good, & we have revisited many of our favourite places. Many thanks to Toni who services the cottage to a very high standard & is always happy to help. Will be back again next year!

This has been our fourth stay in Sunday Cottage which is comfortable, cosy and in a perfect location (with car parking – essential). A real home from home – we love it! Padstow is a very special place for us, and again we have enjoyed our stay so much. Weather has been mixed, but able to get out each day, rode sections of the Camel Trail, & went to book signing of ‘The Padstow Cook Book’, at The Ship Inn. All chefs there including Rick Stein & very welcoming! Walked to Hawkers Cove & enjoyed a welcome cuppa at the ‘Rest a While” café.  Ate well at various eateries, including The Cornish Arms, St Merrym. Grateful thanks to Ron & Di for Sunday Cottage – we’ll be back!

Another thoroughly relaxing 2 weeks in lovely Sunday Cottage. Re-did all our favourite walks. 3 days of cold winds then 4 days of brilliant blue skies, but all beautiful and very peaceful. Really appreciated the fire the lovely bathroom, and the spotlessly clean cottage (thank you Toni). Sorry to leave, but we know we’ll be back!

Another 2 relaxing weeks in Sunday Cottage – everything lovely as usual – nowhere quite like Padstow to unwind – thank you for keeping the cottage so beautiful – after 4 visits it remains immaculate, so warm & comfortable.
We did our usual tour of the local eateries, & even caught a bus into Wadebridge. Back again next year!

Thank you for letting us stay in Sunday Cottage, it has been fantastic. Been coming to Constantine Bay since 1994, but the children are all grown up now, so we can enjoy exploring on our own now! We’ll be back.
PS. Really enjoyed the album about the history of Sunday Cottage.

School Cottage

17th August
We’ve visited Padstow a number of times over the years, but this is the first time we’ve actually stayed in the village. What a lovely location, close to the harbour & shops, and even easy access to the beach. Excellent weather, a visit to Watergate Bay for the body boarding is a must! All in all, a fab week stating in this beautiful cottage – cheers a great week!

Another stay at our favourite cottage, this time really too short. A trip to Truro – a walk to Stepper Point and a meal at No.6 on New Year’s Eve was all we managed. Pleased to see the garden now maturing nicely, everything else is as lovely as ever!
Have added ‘A Smugglers Tail with apologies to Rudyard Kipling who had the much better original idea.

A quick note to say a big thank you for being so flexible regarding our booking of School Cottage over New Year.  We always thought Sunday Cottage was a gem and we are now totally taken by School Cottage.  Both properties are beautifully decorated and so welcoming, even on the most inclement of days, that one just relaxes as soon as you walk through the front door!
We always love our visits to Padstow and plan to visit again later in 2016.
